This is a mutual cooperation agreement, which means that contract customers with both Nordic Sea Hotel and Thon Hotels will be offered an extended and attractive choice of hotels. The partnership mainly applies to corporate customers and conference sales, but both parties are also hoping that it will open up exciting new opportunities for the leisure market.
In the long term, the partnership also means that it will be possible to book hotel rooms at Nordic Sea Hotel direct using Thon Hotels’ telephone booking service, and via www.thonhotels.no. We will also be looking at opportunities for members of Thon Hotels’ loyalty programme – Thon Member – to collect points for overnight stays at Nordic Sea Hotel in Stockholm.
“Nordic Sea Hotel has one of the best locations in Stockholm, and is a hotel of a very high standard. I’m really pleased to be able to offer Nordic Sea Hotel as an extension of our portfolio to our contract customers. Establishing hotel and cooperation partners in Sweden is a strategic investment,” says Thon Hotels’ Director of Administration, Morten Thorvaldsen.
”The partnership with Thon Hotels has enabled us to enter into a favourable agreement for our corporate customers in relation to accommodation and meetings at all of Thon Hotels’ hotels in Norway and Brussels. Meanwhile we’re making Nordic Sea Hotel available to Thon Hotel’s corporate customers at a very attractive price. Norwegians do a lot of flying, and Nordic Sea Hotel has the perfect location close to the Arlanda Express train for all those travelling to Sweden by air,” says Anders Johansson, CEO of Nordic Hotels in Stockholm.
Thon Hotels is Norway’s third largest hotel chain, with 50 hotels in Norway. The chain also has hotels in Sweden, Belgium and Holland. Thon Hotels has the capacity to take over 8,300 conference guests, and also offers 500 flats to rent. www.thonhotels.no
