Sightseeing by boat

In Stockholm you’re always close to the water. Take a boat trip through the city and experience the best side of Stockholm. In the summer there is a large selection of sightseeing tours by boat, and special winter tours are available during the colder months.

  • Boat tours with Stockholm Sightseeing

One of the most popular sightseeing tours by boat is called Under Stockholm’s Bridges. The trip takes you under fifteen bridges and through two locks, all in under two hours. If you’d rather take a shorter boat tour, you could try the trips round Djurgården or round Kungsholmen, which take under an hour. There are also hop-on hop-off trips that stop at some of the city’s major sights.

You can book guided boat tours with Stockholm Sightseeing at the Nordic Sea Hotel reception.

  • The Djurgården ferry

If you’re looking for a shorter boat trip without a guide, the Djurgården ferry is the ideal choice. It is part of the Stockholm public transport system, and connects Slussen with Skeppsholmen and Gröna Lund amusement park on the island of Djurgården, all year round. The Djurgården ferry from Slussen is free for holders of 1-day and 3-day travel cards.
