Children in the city

Stockholm is the perfect city for young families! There are plenty of exciting experiences for all ages, and it’s easy to get around the city on foot, by bike or using the bus and underground systems. The hotel’s location in the heart of the city, with all possible transport options right outside the door, makes it easy to go off on a fun-filled excursion.

Here are a few unmissable children’s favourites:

Djurgården really is the children’s district. It is home to attractions including Junibacken, Skansen, the Vasa Museum, the Aquaria Water Museum, Gröna Lund, the National Museum of Science and Technology, the Maritime Museum, and Kaknästornet tower. Djurgården is also the perfect place for a picnic or a cup of coffee and a snack in the stunning surroundings of Rosendal’s Gardens. Or why not hire a bicycle or canoe and head out to discover Stockholm’s natural beauty and waterways?
The journey to Djurgården is an experience in itself. Either you can take the old-fashioned tram from Norrmalmstorg, or the Djurgården ferry, which leaves from both Slussen and Nybrokajen. If you’re looking for the fastest route there, bus 47 is the one for you. The bus stop is just 75 metres from the hotel, on Vasagatan.
