Kai Pasma has joined Nordic Hotels as the new Sales Director for Nordic Light Hotel and Nordic Sea Hotel. Kai took on his new role as Sales Director on 1 December 2009 and will be working closely with Nordic’s CEO Tobias Ekman, former Hotel Manager at Clarion Hotel Sign. Kai Pasma has been working with sales at Choice Hotels Scandinavia since 2005 and prior to that for Sheraton Hotel Stockholm and Skogshem & Wijk.In 2001, Nordic Hotels opened the two hotels Nordic Sea Hotel – with 367 rooms and ABSOLUT ICEBAR STOCKHOLM, and Nordic Light Hotel – a member of Design Hotels, with 175 rooms on Vasagatan in Stockholm.
In June 2009, Choice Hotels Scandinavia acquired the well-known Stockholm hotels Nordic Light Hotel and Nordic Sea Hotel, as well as the Nordic brand. The purchase of Nordic makes Choice Hotels the largest hotel chain in Stockholm and the chain is continuing to invest in the capital region.Choice Hotels Scandinavia is Scandinavia’s largest hotel chain, with 170 hotels and 9,000 employees.
